Okay ladies, I don’t know about you guys but, this summer I have been super busy and it seems the days are just flying by. Lately, we have been swamped with attending birthday parties (as all the kids in our families were born in the summer), work events, games, barbeque’s,  I mean the list goes on! It never ends but, today I am writing on one of our Mom’s Tree house members that reminds us on the importance of slowing down and in taking care of ourselves. Today’s member spotlight, is Michelle Reynolds from Aromatic Health.

Michelle has it made it a point to educate and help other moms with her knowledge and experience working with Aromatherapy. Michelle has worked over ten years in creating essential oil products, promoting the benefits of these oils while also offering consultation services to help women achieve optimum health by focusing on her body, mind and spirit. Let’s face it, as moms we tend to forget to take care of our bodies, mind and spirits simply, because we do not have the leisure to slow down and concentrate on ourselves.

Michelle however,  a new mom again, reminds us the importance of taking care ourselves so we then in turn can take care of our loved ones. Michelle has expanded her knowledge and services through Aromatic Health, in where  clinical aromatherapy and products are offered  for health and wellness, pre and postpartum healing, natural baby care and skin care. Aromatic Health has a list of wonderful products to fit the needs of everyone.

So, ladies can we pass by Aromatic Health and check out this fab blog. There may be something there for you, so go check it out!

Okay folks, today I want to introduce to you Debra Ann Elliot, our new member at the Mom’s Tree House Penthouse. I met Debra upon her participation through the Writing Club and upon going  through her blog,  I felt compelled to shine the spotlight on her blog, her writing and her work.

Debra is a wife, mother and grandmother. She is also author of Life Through the Rearview Mirror and Turning Leaves. She is also a contributing author for Heavenly Humor for the Cat Lover’s Soul by Barbour Publishing. She is blog owner of Writing with Debra, in where she shares some her writing ideas, thoughts, poems and more. Her blog is simply a delight.

Another reason I decided to shine some light on Writing with Debra is because she shares her thoughts and faith on being a Christian mom, which comes through her work and writing style. She writes with grace, hope and love which is why I think she is sensational and inspirational, and really, isn’t this why we love her and why she is now part of Mom’s Tree House? Debra also participates in many memes in passing down bloggy support, postive thoughts and  her stories which are always fun to read.

So ladies, can we please welcome Debra to the house?  Please pass by her blog to show her your support as she does it for so many others. Debra, thank you for not only participating in the writer’s Club, but for all the support you show all the other blogs. Thank you for passing down that inspiration!

Remember!

I sometimes meet bloggers in where I will ask to join the Penthouse but, you can join as well just by letting me know you want to be at the Penthouse. I encourage all Penthouse members to pass around the page and visit one another, every once in a while just to show some bloggy support. You can also become a VIP member, in where we simply network our blogs togther.

It’s Bloggy kinda world!

Today we are shining light on  Genny from My Cup 2 Yours. Genny is a Penthouse member at Mom’s Tree House and as a fellow mom blogger, Genny is also a big believer in sharing and showing some bloggy love.

Genny currently runs what she likes to call Mom-Mondays in where she enjoys sharing stories and encouraging others to share theirs. According to Genny,

One mom would post about her child being sick, and she’d be flooded with words of hope and comfort. Another mom would post about the birth of her newest baby, and she’d be showered with congratulations. I love when people come along side each other like that. We moms need it.

and she is so right!

Genny therefore, decided to post  at the beginning of every week on something related to mommy-hood. She hopes that her posts will entertain, inspire, or encourage her readers and other moms.

I totally love this! When you go and visit My Cup 2 Yours, you just simply feel tranquility and peace. Coming together is what is all about.

Genny herself, is an inspiring person.  She is  children’s book author, and she also writes for various magazines and websites.  She is  an editor at 5MinutesforFaith (a sister site to 5MinutesforMom) but that is not all, this woman just does not stop.

Genny is also Assistant Regional Advisor for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators  and she reviews books for the Sacramento Book Review and San Francisco Book Review. Genny is a published author and currently working on some new books due to come out this year. You can check out more of her writings by visiting her website, and simply become inspired. In the midst of all her work, Genny is also a happy, loving mom and wife. Wow! Girl, you rock!

So ladies, today let’s pass by to My Cup 2 Yours and simply say hello. Lets follow her on Twitter and on Facebook. Genny thank you, for reminding us that we are capable of doing everything and more. You and your blog has inspired us, encouraged us and we will continue to pass on that bloggy love.

Today, the House is shining light on Penthouse member, Mad For Reading, a blog that teaches the importance of literacy, education and books. I love this blog. As mothers, I know we are all running around taking care of the kids, cleaning the house, cooking and running errands but, Mad For Reading always reminds me that, my son needs to be read to and be surrounded by books.

Mad for Reading

Dr. Madeline Boskey is the genious behind this beautiful blog. She has written, edited, and consulted many programs that teach and promote reading and writing. She has also written books for children—from babies to middle school age—including picture books, biographies, how-to, and other nonfiction books. She also loves helping parents and young children enjoy reading together. Her approach- is to take well-proven methods of teaching reading, and make those principles into simple, fun, and effective practices to strengthen the reading experience. Making Reading fun! Totally love it!

Now you guys know how much I love my books, and now with so many creative, fun ideas, I actually have fun reading to my ever high-strung, energetic 19 month old. I also work with  individuals with developmental disabilities and part of my job is teaching basic social and life skills which include, reading and writing. Yet, this may be a task proven to be very difficult for some, so I have implemented some of the ideas I have found in Mad For Reading and WALA, some of my clients have learned to put some letters together by linking pictures. This blog is just awesome! This blog provides the tools, the ideas in getting your kid to read,  listen to a story and even help putting the pieces togther in learning how to read. Thank you, Madeline. You are such an inspiration.

As moms, we are also educators, so check out this blog with such a great a cause and push for literacy among our children. You guys will love it. I for one, have become mad for Mad For Reading.
